Green California Chili Pepper Ristra
The ristra hangs approximately 24-inches. It includes about 19 6¼-inch hand painted ceramic Green California chilies tied together in a rope that is looped at the top for easy hanging.
Ristra means string in Spanish. Traditionally chili ristras are hung near the entrance of a home symbolizing an abundant harvest. They bring life and joy to any kitchen. The ripening stages of the chilies are symbolized on the multicolor chiles strings, from green to red, red being the hottest. They are handmade in Mexico, and have a very realistic finish.
